Bogwangolah

Bhagwangola (the Bogwangolah of early records) is a town on the Ganges (Padma) in Murshidabad district, West Bengal, historically an important river port and grain mart serving the Murshidabad country in the era of the Nawabs. It stood on the great river route of central Bengal. As a post town of the Bengal Presidency its pre-1854 markings document the mail of the Murshidabad riverside.
