Barh
Barh (recorded under the same name) is a town in Patna district, Bihar, on the south bank of the Ganges east of Patna, long a river-trade and market town of the middle Ganges plain. It stood on the great water and land routes of Bihar. Within the Bengal Presidency it served as a post town, and its pre-1854 markings document the mail of the Patna country.
