Penang 1849 (3 July) entire letter to Boston, USA via London, marked "Via Marseilles", rated "1/" (deleted) and "1/10" and showing, on reverse, good to fine framed "penang/Bearing" d.s. with the "closure" section at the right of the middle row unusually missing, red London c.d.s. (20.8) alongside and, on face, framed "bearing", "19/cents" accountancy h.s. and handstruck "24"
