Description
Penang 1858 entire letter to Ponmanee bearing, on reverse, 1854 ½a. Die I with clear to large margins (small tears at top), clearly cancelled "B/147" and showing framed "penang" alongside and, on face, two different Madras c.d.s.; the whole a little toned and with a few faults. A very rare franking. This is the only ½a. usage on cover in Penang that we record. R.P.S. Certificate (1984). (CJS). Photo
