Exceptionally clear strike of red negative circle handstamp with manuscript date "28 Sept 1827" on folded letter datelined Penang Sep. 27, 1827, to London, England, manuscript "1/-" rate, well-struck "INDIA LETTER/DOVER" (Robertson In. 2) on back, London Feb. 27 arrival backstamps, Very Fine, a scarce marking, especially this clearly struck, ex Nathan
