Native inland entire, the address panel written in Persian script in black ink. The Karatchee HG 7 mark is struck in red at upper right and cancelled by a black dotted obliterator. A blue oval heraldic handstamp depicting a tower, lettered "FORTUNA DOMUS", is applied at foot — a collector's or expertising mark rather than a postal one. Mounted on an album page annotated "Sept. 1853".
