1852 (July 25): Entire letter to Simla (Clarke correspondence) endorsed 'Bg.' (Bearing) on front with fine strike of oval LAHOR / P.O. handstamp in black (Hammond Giles fig. 7), reverse with fine strike of framed GUJURANWALA despatch (July 25) 'Bearing' (5 annas) datestamp in black and 'Simla' arrival (July 29) in red.
