Shahjahanpur (the Shejehanpore of early records) is a city in the Rohilkhand plain of Uttar Pradesh, a Mughal-founded town at the meeting of the Garra and Khannaut rivers, later a British military and sugar town. It was a leading district town of Rohilkhand. Within the North-Western Provinces it served as a major post town, and its pre-1854 markings trace the mail of the Rohilkhand country.
