A late example of the "RAJPOOTANA/BEARg/18" used to receipt stamp this letter in 1837, recording 13 annas due for the ship postage and inland transit from Calcutta to Nusseerabad. The letter came from England, and was stamped at Calcutta with the red "CALCUTTA/G.P.O./date" of 1827-37, and the black Ship Letter receipt stamp, showing 10 annas Inland postage and 3 annas Ship postage.
