Palwal (the Pulwul of early records) is a city in Haryana on the Grand Trunk Road south of Delhi, an old market town of the Braj–Mewat borderland associated with Krishna legend. It was a serai and trade town on the great highway. In the era of the Company's northern posts it served as a mail town, and its pre-1854 markings trace the posts of the Delhi–Agra road.
