Narnaul (the Naroul of early records) is a city in Mahendragarh district, Haryana, a historic town of the Ahirwal country with Mughal-era tombs and step-wells, on the borderland toward Rajputana. It was a market and route town south-west of Delhi. In the era of the Company's northern posts it served as a mail town, and its pre-1854 markings record the posts of the Ahirwal borderland.
