Description
1824 (June 9): Entire letter to Exeter endorsed "Ship Letter, per 1st ship to London" and further "pr. Atlas" with bold strike of framed "MUTTRA / PT. PD." despatch handstamp in black, large circular "CALCUTTA / GENERAL POST OFFICE" cds in red (June 21), obverse with double circle "CALCUTTA / GENERAL POST OFFICE" in black with manuscript date (June 21) and struck on entry with framed "INDIA LETTER / DEAL" in black (Robertson fig. In.1) and London cds (Jan 18, 1825) and charged "1/4d." due to pay.
