India, Mirzapore, 1828, "MIRZAPORE POST OFFICE" Negative Intaglio Handstamp (Giles unrecorded). Clear strike on ca. 1820s native cover to Rewah, faint red "Mirzapore 7 Nov. 18??" double-circle despatch datestamp on back, red Rewah (Nov. 8) arrival backstamp, accompanied by original enclosure with another strike of Mirzapore intaglio handstamp, cover with opening damage at sides and pieces missing, strong hinge reinforced vertical crease, Fine and interesting strike which is unlisted in Giles, possibly used for official purposes
