Soldiers letter posted from Meerut to London from Henry Cox Sergeant at 19th Infantry on 23rd August 1849 with "Meerut/ Free" HG7 handstamp in red and India oval handstamp of Calcutta and other delivery marks on arrival. The soldiers letter was was posted free of cost on the concessionary rate.
