India, Landour, ca. 1850s, "LANDOUR/18?? JULY 3/BEARING" Framed Datestamp (Giles Unrecorded). Relatively bold strike with manuscript "12" rate marking on back of mourning to Sir Robert Maddock in Alipore, Ceylon, Calcutta transit backstamp, accompanied by original enclosure, Very Fine and presumably quite scarce as it is unrecorded in Giles or his later supplements
