Kosi Kalan (the Kosee of early records) is a town in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, a market town of the Braj country on the great road between Delhi and Mathura. It stood on the busy Agra highway of the doab. Within the North-Western Provinces it served as a post town, and its pre-1854 markings trace the mail of the Braj country.
