Jawad (the Jawud of early records) is a town in Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh, on the northern edge of the Malwa plateau near the Rajputana border. It was a market and route town of the Mewar borderland. In the era of the Company's Central India posts it served as a mail town, and its pre-1854 markings trace the posts of the Malwa–Mewar frontier.
