Hodal (the Hodul of early records) is a town in Palwal district, Haryana, on the Grand Trunk Road between Delhi and Agra, a serai and market town of the old Mewat borderland. It was a stage on the great highway south of Delhi. In the era of the Company's northern posts it served as a mail town, and its pre-1854 markings trace the posts of the Delhi–Agra road.
