Description

1831: :H.G.1: A letter in 1831 from CHUNAR to CALCUTTA with Post Paid 6 annas. In the 18th century CHUNAR was possessed by Nawab of Oudh. In 1763 Britishers attacked it in vain but it ultimately came under British possession in 1764 after the battle of BUXAR.
