1826 Entire from Cawnpore to Calcutta written to John Pearson, the Advocate General in Calcutta, bearing large double circle 'cawnpore post office/ p.st p.d./18' in black (Giles 4), red framed 'calcutta/ g.p.o./ 28 no 28/ 1826' datestamp and boxed 'am' in red all on the reverse; the letter refers to Lords Cambermere and Amherst and is concerned with military and domestic matters
