Vaniembandy
Vaniyambadi (the Vaniembandy of early records) is a town in Tirupattur district, Tamil Nadu, in the Palar valley, long known for its leather-tanning trade and its route position between the Mysore plateau and the Tamil plains. Under the Madras Presidency it served as a mofussil post office, and its pre-1854 markings trace the overland mail of the North Arcot country.
