India, Trichinopoly, 1833, "TRICHINOPOLY/POST PAID" Oval Handstamp (Giles 5). Bold and clear strike in red with manuscript "Inland Postage Paid A 8, Trichinopoly 16 June 1833" rate and date added on back of folded letter to Launceston, England, framed "INDIA LETTER/PORTSMOUTH" handstamp (Robertson In. 3), Madras Ship Letter (Jun. 19) transit backstamp, manuscript "1/2" and "1/3" rate markings, cover with slight soiling, accompanied by transcription of letter, Very Fine
