DANISH SETTLEMENTS: 1854-1940s collection on pages including: 1854 1a dull red Die II, with fine strike of C-152 type 6 cancel for Tranquebar in blue, 1856 native cover from Tranquebar to Tanjore, bearing Tranquebar paid boxed h/s marks in red for August 11, bearing ½a blue tied by type 6 mark, 1863 envelope to Bath endorsed ‘Via Marseilles’ franked by 1a brown (2) 2a yellow-buff (3) tied by C-152 type 6 marks with India Paid crescent mark in red, backstamped by Tranquebar despatch d/s for MR 11 and bath arrival for AP 13, further covers of outgoing mail with covers franked by QV, KEVII, KGV, KGVI issues including registered covers with appropriate markings and labels, mostly addressed to Germany and postal stationery, generally fair to fine condition an interesting lot.
