The entire posted from French rocks to North Britain with 11 annas postage paid as there was no handstamps available at French rocks in 1839, Seringapatam HG9 handstamp was applied. The letter was carried from French rocks to Seringapatam on 23rd September 1839 to England via Bombay through streamer letter and full post was paid up to Bombay. Manuscript indicates the letter was posted at French Rocks.
