Plamanair
Palamaner (the Plamanair of early records) is a town in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, set on the cool uplands of the eastern Mysore plateau on the road between Bangalore and the Tamil plains. It was a route and market town of the border tract. Under the Madras Presidency it served as a mofussil post office, and its pre-1854 markings trace the overland mail across the plateau.
