India, Mysore, 1831, "MYSORE/POST PAID" Oval Handstamp (Giles 2). Slightly watery though clear strike in red with manuscript "29th Augt 1831" date and "Rs 3 As 1" rate added on back of folded letter to Halstead, England, framed "INDIA LETTER/PORTSMOUTH" handstamp (Robertson In.4a), Madras Out Station (Sept. 2) and London (Jan. 12) transit backstamps, manuscript "3/1" crossed out and "3/2" rate markings, Very Fine
