Entire posted from Madras to Porto Novo written by Alexande Campbell addressed to John Dorton with "Madras/ PostFree/ 15 AP 15/1822" in a octagonal black frame handstamp HG13. Alexander Campbell was a Commander Chief of Madras Army who enjoyed the privilege to send post free of cost.
