Description
185x Jaulnah – Hyderabad inland cover, with Jaulnah Giles 5 "JAULNAH/185 JAN 13/Paid" despatch handstamp, date "14" & rate "2as" applied in manuscript. 2A was valid for a single letter (up to ¼ tolah) not exceeding 400 miles, and also for a double letter (between ¼ & ½ tolah) not exceeding 300 miles. Most likely it was a single letter, as the distance from Jaulnah to Hyderabad was slightly over 300 miles. At Hyderabad, Giles 7 "HYDRABAD/185x ..... ./Paid" handstamp applied as the delivery mark.
