HASTINGS/"ISLE OF WIGHT"/KINGSBRIDGE INDIA LETTERS INC. CLARET-PURPLE BOXED "CUDDAPAH/POST PAID"; 1837 EL to London with v. fine (for this) claret-purple boxed "CUDDAPAH/POST PAID" nicely placed on the flap and endorsed "Inland Postage As6/Ship do As4" beside oval Madras ds and scarce red boxed "INDIA LETTER/HASTINGS"; plus 1841 E ex Calcutta with the black Hastings IL mark, 1820 E with fair rare boxed "INDIA LETTER/ISLE OF WIGHT" overlapped by fine oval Madras ds, and part wrapper ex Demerara (B. Guiana) with fine rare red boxed "INDIA LETTER/KINGSBRIDGE". Good group. (4 covers) Cross Reference: SUSSEX, DEVON, ISLE OF WIGHT, BRITISH GUIANA/GUYANA
