1827 Cuddapah – London entire via Madras & Cape route, with Cuddapah Giles 3 "CUDDAPAH/POST PAID" hand stamp, rate "P. Paid 7 As" (paid 7A inland letter under 1 tolah, sent between 150 to 180 miles, distance of Cuddapah–Madras was 171 miles via Tappal Road), at Madras Giles SD11 "OUT STATION/MADRAS/9 AP 9/1827/SHIP LETTER" & Giles MX4 "MADRAS/9 AP 9/1827" transit marks applied, reached UK via Gravesend & there "INDIA LETTER/GRAVESEND" mark & bearing postage "1/4" (1s inland postage for letter between 1/4 to 1/2 oz, sent above 20 miles but under 30 miles, distance of Gravesend–London was around 23 miles, & 4d inward ship letter postage not exceeding 3 oz.) applied in manuscript, finally reached London & "A/11 OC 11/1827" receipt mark applied, bearing postage collected from the recipient.
