1850 Cochin – Madras inland entire, with Giles 2 "COCHIN/PAID" handstamp, date "14/11/50" & rate "3As" (paid 3A for a letter under ¼ tolah, sent between 400 to 500 miles; Cochin–Madras distance was 437 miles) applied in manuscript. At Madras, Giles MX5 "G.P.O./1850 NO xx" receipt mark applied.
