INDIA, Ballary, 1815, "Post Paid/Ballary" Handstamp (Giles 1). Mostly complete and strong strike of red oval handstamp on folded letter with manuscript Mar. 27, 1815 despatch, addressed to Mrs. de Havilland in Bangalore, postage paid noted as "4½f", cover with ink erosion and some tape repairing splits, otherwise a Fine strike, noted as very scarce by Giles
