Aska
Asika, long written Aska, is a town on the Rushikulya river in Ganjam district, Odisha. It became known in the nineteenth century for its sugar and distillery works and as a trading and administrative centre of the Ganjam plains. Within the northern reaches of the Madras Presidency it functioned as a post town, and its pre-1854 markings document the Company's mail along the Odisha coast.
