Anjengo
Anchuthengu, historically Anjengo, is a coastal village near Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. It was one of the earliest English East India Company settlements on the Malabar coast, where a fort and factory were established in 1696 to trade in pepper and cloth. As a Company outpost it was an early node in the sea-and-land mail of the west coast, and Anjengo pre stamp covers are prized records of British India's southern postal beginnings.
