Cuncholim, 24 Sept., 1863 postmarked with “Mapuçá P. P.”/ Postage Paid in sepia confirmed in GOA by the rectangular cachet in red to DAPOOLEE 4 Oct., 1863. Transit in BELGAUM, hexagonal mark in green, the exchange office with Portuguese India, where the half anna of British India stamp was obliterated with the lozengue barred number Nº85. CHIPLOON in red 2 Oct., 1863 and KHED Paid in red of 6 Oct.. A 20 Reis fee was paid in Goa for a letter up to 2/8 oz.
