Postal cover from waghorn (), bearing unknown handstamp in unknown. Dated 7 September 1850. Scarce example of postal history from this office. Corinphila - 1850 (Sept 7): Entire letter from Alexandria to Wolverhampton, sent via Forwarding Agent outside of the Mails, struck with oval framed "FORWARDED BY / G.W. WHEATLEY & Co. / LATE WAGHORN & Co. / AGENT & GENERAL AGENTS / 156 LEADENHALL ST. LONDON" handstamp in black, carried by "HMS Ripon" via Souhampton to London and thence to the addressee.
