Description

1842 Kirkee – London overland cover, with Kirkee Giles 3 "KIRKEE/Paid" handstamp, date "30-11-42" & rate "1A" (paid 1A inland postage to Bombay, for a letter between ¼ to 1 tolah, not exceeding 100 miles) applied in manuscript. At Bombay, Giles SD6 "INDIA" transit applied, sent via Falmouth & 1s bearing postage applied. At London, delivery mark dated 13 JA 1843 applied & bearing postage collected from the recipient.
