The Dhollera HG 1 handstamp
Dholera, located in Gujarat's Ahmedabad district, is India’s first greenfield planned smart city. Spanning 920 sq. km., it is a major node on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. The region features advanced underground utilities, a dedicated international airport, and is designed to be a global manufacturing hub Dhollera (now known as Dholera) is a town to the south west of Ahmedabad near the Gulf of Khambat. Interestingly, Dhollera is not mentioned in Giles’ original book or any of its supplements. It is also not mentioned in the Post Office list that was published with the 1837 Postal Act. The Postal Guide of 1869 and Martin, however, mention this city. It is located at 22°14´N, 72°11´E.
