Cherrystone description: 1838 FL from London to Calcutta, with "Care of Mr. Waghorn Alexandria" hs struck twice. endorsed "via Suez", with diff. markings, transit and arrival hs, some paper erosion on front, otherwise fine and scarce Waghorn cover. Additional information: Sidebottom type 4b. Waghorn agent: George W. Wheatley. Prepaid 2/8½d. Bearing 15 As. inland postage to Calcutta (Bombay bearing h/s HG 19). Calcutta receiver (HG type G14). This cover is listed as COV-1744.
