Description

PORTUGUESE INDIA, "PAGOV PORTE DO CORo" Handstamp. Clear two-line handstamp in red on back of folded cover dated Aug. 25 and 29, 1836, addressed to Bombay, additionally struck with red "GOA" handstamp, sender's directive "via Belgaum", red "Belgaum Post Paid" handstamp (Giles 1, unrecorded in red) applied in transit, opening tears affecting handstamps and cover with minor overall soiling, still Fine and scarce combination of postal markings
