Clear strike with manuscript "16 April" date and "9" rate markings on back of 1837 folded letter to Hadley, Scotland, sender's directive "p first Ship" , framed "INDIA LETTER/LIVERPOOL" handstamp (Robertson In. 4a), bold Calcutta Ship Letter (Apr. 19) transit backstamp, manuscript "1/3" rate marking, cover with light overall wear and soiling, Very Fine
