Description

India, Mymunsing, 1836, "MYMUNSING/POST OFFICE" Oval Handstamp (Giles 1). Clear strike with manuscript "12 Oct 1836" date and "Post Paid 7 as" rate added on back of folded letter datelined in Jamalpur, addressed to Calcutta, red framed "AM" handstamp, Calcutta arrival backstamp, cover with slight overall toning and some internal strengthening due to ink erosion, still Fine and rare marking, few examples are thought to exist
