GREAT BRITAIN, "INDIA LETTER/BRIXHAM" (Robertson In.1). Framed strike over flap on back of folded letter datelined "In Camp near Monghyr 11 Dec. 1827" and addressed to Dalmellington, Scotland, sender's directive "per Mellish" with "if sailed per Cambrae Castle" crossed out, faint strike of "Post Moongyr Paid" oval intaglio despatch handstamp (Giles 1) under India Letter marking, Calcuttta (Dec. 21), London (May 12), Edinburgh (May 14), and Ayr (May 15) datestamps, framed "1/2" handstamp and manuscript "1/7" rate marking, Fine and scarce strike
