Description

1799 : H.G. 1 : Letter from MIDNAPOOR [6 April] to MOORSHIDABAD traveled via TOOMLUK, ODOBERIA and BEHARAMPUR covering 122 miles. The then Governor General was Lord Wellesley and the PMG was C.W. BLUNT.This handstamp: MIDNAPOOR in single line of varying size letters, as carved out cancellation, in Black used during 1797 to 1799. Probably the latest used cover. A very rare handstamp.
