India, Malda, 1834, "MALDA/Pt Pd" Oval Handstamp (Giles 1). Clear strike with manuscript "6 July" date and "9" rate added on back of folded letter datelined "June 16th 1834, Muttrapoor" , addressed to London, England, framed "GREENOCK/INDIA SHIP LR" handstamp (Robertson In.1), Calcutta (Jul. 9) and Greenock (Dec. 27) transit and London (Dec. 30) arrival backstamps, framed "1/2" and "T.P. Rate 2" handstamps and manuscript "1/6" rate marking, Very Fine and quite scarce
