Description

Kedgeree: 1829 (28 March) entire letter headed "On board the H.C.C. ship Abberton" to Calcutta, posted at Kedgeree and showing a fine strike of the scarce oval "KEDGEREE/POST OFFICE" with day and month in manuscript (HG 3) and oval "G.P.O./MAR/Bg. Pg." (HG 16a) struck on arrival.
