1836 : H. G. 2: Letter from DUMDUM DUMDUM Dec.] to AURANGABAD. Inland postage paid for for miles miles as.This handstamp: Oval, in black colour, "DUMDUM/18/POST OFFICE" was used till 1835 as per Giles. Hence this proves that the use was till late 1836. The words are placed along the circumference of oval.
