Entire posted from Guernsey to Seringapatnam on 29th Jan 1809. The post was forwarded in London by Messrs Perchard and Brock who were the forwarding agents. The post was charged 2 Shilling 2d treble letter along with red London hand struck "R Fe to 1809" in a circle along with Ship Letter London oval handstamp in black. The letter first reached Calcutta on 22nd June 1809 where SR6 handstamp was applied in black with bearing inland postage of 7 Annas, bearing Ship postage of 2 Annas totalling to 9 Annas postage due. This post was sent overland from Calcutta to Madras with 16 ½ Fannams postage due at Seringapatnam.
