1865 (24 Apr.) entire letter to Calcutta, marked "p Clem Alpine", bearing 1865 1a. tied by manuscript "stamped", cancelled by "B/172" obliterator and showing, on reverse, legible framed "singapore/ship letter/paid" d.s. in red, Calcutta Ship Letter Bg and framed "cal:g.p.o./bg 1 anna", both in blue; some ink-etching, mainly internal.
