1835 (Dec 28) London, England–Calcutta (Kolkata) letter from merchants Pallner, MacKillop & Co., London to Thomas Anbury (1759– 1840), Col., Bengal Engineers & an accomplished painter, with Giles G13 (ex-CG7)/Lowe HS263 G.P.O. cds receipt mark of Calcutta/Kolkata dt. MAY 14 1835 in red & Giles SR 27 (ex-CS9)/Lowe HS147 due mark showing Inld Ptge 3 Ship Do ̤ 3 1 As 6 i.e. inland postage 3A & ship postage 3A i.e. total 6A postage due & 1 indicating single letter.
